One way to do this is through the education and organization of ordinary citizens who cherish and want to preserve the Hill Country's unique culture and environment.

Voices of the Texas Hills is a "virtual" and informal organization of like-minded citizens who want to network with each other and cooperate in efforts to preserve the unique culture and environment of the Texas Hill Country.

This web site is a place where ordinary citizens are able to contribute material and express their opinions about the Texas Hill Country, and in particular Kendall County and the surrounding area. The intent is to provide a platform for distributing relevant information and freely and openly discussing the opportunities, issues and challenges facing us all.

Those wishing to participate are invited to submit material for inclusion in the web site. All submissions are subject to peer review to assure appropriateness of their content.

We encourage everyone to publicize this web site through word of mouth and other means and to promote the Voices Of The Texas Hills as a valuable public resource.

Ground Rules For Material Submitted To The Web Site

Here are the basic ground rules for the content of materials to be included in the web Site:

How To Submit Material To The Web Site

You are encouraged to submit material for inclusion in the web site. Here is the process and the general rules for submitting material for inclusion in the web site:

• Prepare your material carefully, using the Microsoft WORD word processing software.


• If you want to submit pictures, use the INSERT feature of the Microsoft WORD software to insert the picture in to the document.


• Sign your work, by including your name, where you live (e.g., Kendall County, Texas) and the date when you prepared and submitted the material.


• Proof read and edit your material carefully before submitting it.


• Click on the e-mail link at the bottom of the page to send us an e-mail describing the material that you are submitting.


• Attach the WORD document containing your material and images to the e-mail, and send it to us.


• We will review the material and either accept it for inclusion in the web site, or reject it and notify you of the reasons. If the material is rejected, you are free to revise and resubmit it.


• If your material is accepted for inclusion in the web site, we will normally reformat it and make small editorial corrections as needed to give the web site a consistent look and feel.
